JEDI commitment.
Our commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in how we work, who we work with, and how we grow.
We believe that a just, equitable, diverse, and inclusive workplace is essential to building a business that reflects our values. We are committed to identifying and addressing barriers to inclusion. We use real data to guide our decisions.
This commitment covers our internal culture and how we treat our own people. It also covers how we hire, communicate publicly, and engage with clients, suppliers, and the wider community.
Why This Matters to Us
Avari was founded on a belief in doing things right. This means being honest about the barriers that exist for people from underrepresented groups.
Technology is not a diverse sector. We want Avari to be different: a place where people from any background can do their best work. Fairness is built into how we hire and how we work. As co-founders, we are personally accountable for this commitment. This policy is something we discuss, measure, and act on every year.
How We Use Data and Feedback
We conduct an annual review that covers both JEDI principles and workplace culture. This is the foundation for our JEDI actions. We use what we learn to choose and update our priorities each year.
As we grow, we will collect more structured data on diversity and inclusion in the workplace, in line with the requirements of the B Lab Standards and applicable data protection law.
Our JEDI Priorities
Our current JEDI priorities, chosen based on our annual review discussion and the stage of our business, are:
- Inclusive hiring — ensuring that when we hire, we do so fairly and in a way that is open to people from all backgrounds
- Public commitment — making our JEDI commitments visible and holding ourselves publicly accountable
These priorities will be reviewed annually and updated as the Company grows and as our annual review discussion identifies new areas to address.
Accountability and Progress
Both co-founders of Avari Technology Ltd are jointly accountable for this commitment. We will:
- Review our JEDI priorities and actions annually as part of our joint annual review discussion
- Update this statement each year to reflect our current priorities and progress
- Be transparent about what is working and where we still have work to do
- Consider JEDI principles in all material business decisions, including hiring, procurement, and client selection
